Can I copy a field with content from a DOC to a SIGN?

With 2.4 we added the feature of copying over a DOC field with content to a SIGN item. When adding a field to SIGN that has the same name as a field in DOC, it will automatically be configured to copy matching field data from the DOC when creating a new SIGN. This affects regular fields on the DOC, not document sections, and the fields need to have the same name for this to work.

So when setting this up, make sure the following prerequisites are met:

• DOC has the field with the desired name

• Field with the matching name was added to SIGN category

The copy is enabled by default for new fields added to the SIGN and can be turned off by checking the checkbox below:
